The guy out of Goldendale dose a great job on deer. I would not have any worries taking an elk to him. I think his name is Hank, he is west of town and well known in the area for quality work.

Nile Valley meats....excellent to work with, good prices and the best jerky in the land.  They are in the process of building a new shop further up on the pass, should be an awsome place.

Woodman,

Will Mt. View hang your quarters for a daily fee until you're ready to butcher it yourself? Many shops I've spoke too wont just hang it without paying them to butcher it.

Not sure, here is their number 253-537-5332. I just dropped off my bear there this week. I have them do my meat from a to z there. I used to do my own, but when they do it, I can tell my steaks from my roasts and the meat is clean along with all of the packaging. They also make an outstanding summer sausage for me. My wife is much happier when they process our meat.

can't remember the name of the place. But it's the butcher shop in the back of Roses IGA in Buckley. Does a good job. He's done my deer for the past few years.

Wilson Banner Ranch on HWY 12 between Pomeroy and Clarkston is a good place to get meat into a cold storage.  They do hanging only.  $5/day for deer and $10 for elk.  They'll meet you after hours if you can get them on the phone, too. 509-758-2665.  Don't know about processors as I cut my own; have heard that NW Meats on Bridge St. in Clarkston does wild game but for ridiculous prices.  Full service bear I heard of was $600 and a full service cow elk was over $900 (that's all different kinds of jerky, sausage, pepperoni, etc.)
Bring a GPS!  It's awkward to have to eat your buddies!

The Last Resort down on the Tucannon has a meat locker they will let you hang deer and elk in. They seem to operate it only during hunting season. I asked them about it for my late November hunt and they said it will not be up and running then so if you have a hunt during an odd time of year, it'd be best to ask them ahead of time.
I imagine the Wilsons have their cooler running all the time.  :dunno:
